A garden by the sea International architecture practice HKS and ROAM Interior Design have taken their cues from the setting, creating spaces intended to blur the distinction between indoors and out. Open-plan layouts lead towards expansive terraces, while ocean and marina views bring the landscape into daily life. In the interiors, neutral palettes are punctuated with soft greens and blues inspired by the surrounding island, complemented by woven textures and handcrafted finishes. The effect promises to be relaxed and contemporary, but unmistakably connected to Antigua. Known as the “Land of 365 Beaches”, Antigua has long possessed the natural ingredients of a classic Caribbean retreat, while remaining less heavily travelled than some of the region’s most familiar luxury destinations. Jolly Beach itself is especially enticing: bright sand, clear water, and the languid rhythm that makes the prospect of owning rather than merely visiting increasingly irresistible.
